A New Year To You

Today is Nissan or Aviv 1, the first day of the year according to God’s Hebrew calendar, because when He was preparing to lead His people out of Egypt, He said, “This month will be the beginning of months for you. It is to be the first month of the year for you” (Exodus/Shemot 12:2).

That also means Pesach/Passover will begin two weeks from now and if you’ve been with me a while, you know Passover is an important holiday to God, so may you plan on observing it as well as the two Sabbath Days of rest for it on Tuesday, April 23 and Monday, April 29. Holiday Reminder for Passover 2023

A reminder, Passover begins at sundown tonight. I don’t do anything special on Passover Eve except start eating flat bread with my meals and begin the Sabbath rest for the first day of Passover. May you do the same to live in the spirit of the heritage you were adopted into as one of Christ’s own (Romans 10:12-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-26; Galatians 3:26-29; Ephesians 2:11-22, 3:6; Colossians 3:11; 1 Peter 2:9-10; also Romans 12:4-5).
