The True Palm Sunday was not on a Sunday

Today is the actual Palm “Sunday” when Christ made His final entry into Jerusalem, so this is when I start observing Holy Week. It is supposed to coincide with Passover, which begins next week. Why is that? And what other Biblical events go with the true Palm “Sunday”?…
